Safeguarding Training Session – Ejisu (Ghana-Nigeria Province)
Day 1: 9th June 2026
The training begun with an opening Mass which was presided over by the Provincial Superior of the Ghana – Nigeria Province, Fr. Dennis Pam, M.Afr. During his homily, he encouraged us to take this training seriously. Reflecting on the Gospel of the day, he invited us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. The Provincial did not just see today’s Gospel as a coincidence, but also as the providential beginning of our safeguarding session.
In his opening remarks, the Superior General Fr. Stanley Lubungo and his general council reminded us that Integrity in Ministry is not just a task: it’s an integral part of our mission. Protecting those we are ministering to, especially the most vulnerable, is not optional, it is an evangelical responsibility we must take seriously.
The Coordinator for Integrity in Ministry, Fr. Lowrent Kamwaza gave a general orientation and the roadmap for the two- weeks training.
The whole of the afternoon session was dedicated to profound listening to one another and sharing of our experiences, knowledge and hopes regarding issues of safeguarding.
